Chistopher Tavernier in Concert

This Saturday, November 1st, at 4:00, fourteen-year-old Christopher Tavernier will perform a solo piano recital.  He will take us on a musical journey through the Classical World. We will experience the energy of youth, rich musical gifts and the power of inspiration.  The Grand Tour is a rare magical journey from the Baroque Period through Modernism at its most exciting and defiant time. The program includes Bach, Haydn, Chopin, Debussy, Liszt and Prokofiev.

Christopher, who you know as our very own Perzina artist and the youngest concert pianist in North Carolina, typically performs on our 6’1″ Perzina Grand Piano which we move from venue to venue.  For this concert, however, Christopher is performing on our 9 ft Steinway Model D Concert Grand.  Yes, four of our very strong men, using our excellent moving equipment, will move this beautiful 990 pound grand from our showroom to the First Congregational Church in Hendersonville.  Exclusively offered by Freeburg Pianos, this 1923 Model D with its Satin Ebony Finish is fully restored & refinished. Keith will tune the Model D to the Equal Beating Victorian Temperament, which favors the top half of the circle of fifths, bringing out the various tone colors in the different keys.

We would love for you to join us at the concert.  Be sure to come early to get a seat.
