Happy December!
Tis the season of wonderful music! Keith and I have already attended two spectacular concerts in the community and have many more to attend, some of which we host, in-house or elsewhere, and others for which Keith “concert preps” the pianos.
This Saturday and Sunday, our Perzina artist, Christopher Tavernier, will be performing Classical Pianos Masterworks Concerts at the First Baptist Church of Forest City and at Biltmore United Methodist Church in Asheville.
On Sunday afternoon at 4:30, Master Works Theatre is hosting the Art of Jazz Concert Series. “Cool VIbes” will be performed by The Modern Jazz Quartet, featuring Michael Jefry Stevens, Dick Sisto, Shannon Hoover and Justin Watt. Many of you have attended Michael’s Living Room Series in our Theatre. We appreciate Michael very much as a musician and friend. We are grateful and excited that Michael has recently joined our Masterworks Studios teaching staff.
In the spirit of giving, this Art of Jazz event is a benefit concert for “The Arts Council of Henderson County.” Please join us for great music, delicious food and fun fellowship. Reservations are made through the Arts Council.
Dona and I greatly enjoyed the “Cool Vibes” concert on Sunday. We attend jazz performances all over (NYC, New Orleans, Kennedy Center, etc.) and this was one of the best. Maybe it was the acoustics or just the perfect blend of artists, but whatever it was, this was a great experience. Thanks to you, the Arts Council and Michael Jeffrey Stevens for bringing this to us.
Dona and Ev Baucom
Thank you for attending the concert. It was great to host it and meet great people like you!
