Welcome Todd Holder!

How did it happen? It’s already the month of March. Spring is in the air, at least in North Carolina. There are trees budding and even some in bloom along with the daffodils. “They” say that we might get snow this week. We shall see.

Spring is a time for new beginnings. On March 1st, Todd Holder started a new chapter in his book of life. After a long, successful career in a non-musical field, Todd is now part of the Freeburg Pianos team. Todd’s music related “bio” is below his photo but I want to fill you in on a couple of other important and fun details.

Keith and I are all about family. We love our children and grandchildren with a passion. Over the years, we’ve taken many, many children and adults into our circle of love. There’s a special story that goes with our love for Todd. At least a dozen years ago, Keith began tuning Todd’s home piano. I would call and schedule the tuning and really enjoyed talking with him. Sometime later, I met him in person while working at Waldrop House of Music. It was like we were old friends. Five years ago, we began having a praise music night at our house and he would be our pianist. (Keith was on bass and I was vocalist or playing the flute.) Little did we know that two years later, when Todd played piano at our son Levi and Heather’s wedding, something glorious would happen. At the reception, Keith introduced his sister, Ann, who had come to the wedding from Missouri, to our dear friend, Todd. Six weeks later they were married! They are a precious couple who bring great joy to everyone around them. See what can happen when you play the piano!

As a 35 year pianist-singer-songwriter, Todd is very excited to be a part of the Freeburg Piano team. He studied piano and voice performance at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and was a member of the University Ensemble, the UT Chamber Singers, and performed at the World’s Fair, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, various churches and private events. Todd continues to perform at various events such as weddings, dances, receptions, nonprofits, worship music therapy, and other special events, solo or with his jazz trio. His love for music and passion for piano has grown into a multi-genre experience that he loves to share with others. Todd brings a “real live-performer” experience to Freeburg Pianos, with compassion for the people he serves, and the goal to see others succeed in their own talents and dreams, whether large or small. Todd is eager to listen to your needs, goals, aspirations, and find a way to assist you along your personal musical journey. Todd’s love for all these things is eclipsed only by his love for his wonderful wife, Ann, and his love for his Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome Todd! It’s a GRAND life.

    • My children would like to request Todd do a rendition of “I Just Haven’t Met You Yet” the next time we visit. 🙂 Congratulations to everyone!
