Summer Refreshment

Wouldn’t it be grand to have a swimming pool like this?

Although it is STILL raining where I live and I don’t really feel like getting wet, looking at this photo inspires me.   I can see myself sitting on C#,  soaking in the warmth of the sun rays and then easing my way on into the refreshing, crystal clear water and coming out with a “new lease on life.”

Wonderful refreshment . . . it happens with music, too. Sitting in the hot sun of life can wear you out sometimes.  You can get all sweaty and exhausted from trying so hard to make everything work out right and then you begin to hear a sound.  Perhaps it’s just a simple melody that starts rolling around in your head.  Pretty soon you find yourself “easing on in.”   Ahhhhhhhh….so refreshing and invigorating.

The upfitting of our new store is a lot like sitting on C#.    It’s a big project for a big vision and it takes a lot of work to get it done and done right.  We’ve enlisted the help of a close family friend for the plumbing, a former marine with a big heart and a team to do the floors, an electrician (and his son) who did great work for us years ago when we built our church and a musical builder (and his son) who Keith and I met dancing.  It’s beginning to come together.  The melody is developing.  Soon we’ll be “easing on in” and enjoying the refreshing waters.

We are really looking forward to all the beautiful music that will come forth from each and every piano that will live, temporarily, at Freeburg Pianos.  I say temporarily because I know that each piano will find its way into the heart of someone who will take it to its new home where it will provide wonderful refreshment every day.
